There are several different types of dental floss to choose – and you need more than one.
According to Dr. Victor Zeines, author of “Healthy Mouth, Healthy Body,” flossing daily is the key to good health. Gum disease can lead to all sorts of problems and has even been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. No one floss is particularly better than another – but Dr. Zeines suggests you experiment with some different types. There are more choices and flavors available now including mint, cinnamon, cranberry and tea tree oil. Switching it up from time for a fresh floss sensation can help make the daily chore a little more enjoyable.
