There are a lot more people going to church lately - thanks to a new social phenomenon called Mass Mobs. 

Borrowed from the Flash Mob crowd, social media users are being invited to attend mass, en masse, on any given Sunday. With pages on Facebook and hashtags on Twitter, the Buffalo Mass Mob filled pews with networking fans eager to take in the architecture, sermons and spirit of a designated church voted on by followers. 

Mass Mobs are peaceful, uplifting gatherings that can give deserving churches a boost in attendance and donations when the collection baskets are passed.
