Valentine’s Day is for the birds! What to do this weekend, single or not...

Here is something to do this weekend – count birds. 

Seriously, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology has teamed up with the Audubon Society and Bird Studies Canada to encourage people to join in the Great Backyard Bird Count. 

To participate, you’ll be asked to count all the birds you see for at least 15 minutes between Friday, February 14th and Monday the 17th. You can count for as long as you like in as many places as you like. You’ll need to register first at BirdSource.org. Once you do, your bird watching and counting will help scientists get a global snapshot of bird populations around the world.
