If you’d like to determine if something is good or evil – ask a baby.

Did you know we’re born with a special good and evil detector?

According to Paul Bloom and his wife, authors of “Just Babies: The Origins of Good and Evil,” humans are born with a hard-wired morality, a sense of good and evil is bred in the bone. They’ve got scientific evidence to back it up. Research from Yale University’s Infant Cognition put some babies to the test with the help of some puppets. In one experiment, a puppet is struggling to open a box. Along comes a “good” puppet that helps to open the box, while another “bad” puppet, slams the box shut. After the puppet show, the babies are offered the puppets, and choose the good puppet more than 80% of the time.
