You’re probably cutting the grass too short...
According to Lawn Geek Trey Rogers, author of “Tips and Tricks for the Ultimate Turf from the Guru of Grass, it’s the number one lawn-care mistake we make. He says scalping a lawn, or mowing off more than 1/3 of its height, sends grass into shock and leaves your lawn less able to cope with drought and other stresses.
Trey says the more often you mow – and the less grass you remove with each mowing – the thicker and healthier your lawn will be.
