Someone wrongly accused of cheating is more likely to want some information and details to determine who or what has sounded the false alarm. If your suspicions make sense, a faithful partner would be more inclined to put your fears to rest, reassure you and clear the air. Cheaters often fall back on the “You’re crazy!” defense in an attempt to make you doubt your own instincts. Another common defense is the “Yes, that’s right, I’m cheating” line. A sarcastic “confession” is just another way of insinuating “you’re crazy!”
