If you're scheduling a doctor's appointment, make it for any day but Monday!

The next time you schedule a doctor's appointment, shoot for any day but Monday. That's when the most germs are floating around. Doctor's offices tend to fill up on Monday with people who came down with something over the weekend. Also, when you call for your appointment, ask for something around 1 PM. That's usually when they get back from lunch. That first afternoon appointment usually has a shorter wait time, and is less rushed than when you fall in the midst of their lineup.
