She's Sorry, He's Not.

Women apologize more than men. So why do they do that?

It's a scientific fact that women apologize more than men. A new study in the journal Psychological Science says over the course of 12 days, the women apologized 217 times, the men, just 158. The study concluded that men were actually just as willing as women to apologize, the difference was that the men had a higher threshold for what bothers them.

We tend to apologize for something we feel might be offensive or hurtful. Men and women, in general, have different levels of sensitivity. A woman might snap at a friend, feel bad, and apologize, while a man might think, no big deal, he'll get over it.
