If you’re feeling sad – a happy meal or snack may be in order. 

Certain foods really can help to stave off sadness and make you feel better. Feed your moods with these foods:

• Salmon and walnuts are packed with omega-3s, which help fight off depression and mood swings. 

• Spinach is stocked with folic acid, a B vitamin that has been found to boost your mood. It's also an antioxidant that works to protect your brain cells from free radicals, which can lead to low energy and mood swings.

• Greek Yogurt can help improve your mood with its probiotics and even give your immune system a boost.
