The couples who pay together, stay together.
That’s what a report from UBS Wealth Management Americas is suggesting. They surveyed over 2,500 co-habitating couples and found that those who split the financial decision-making are more satisfied and have fewer disagreements.
The report also found that couples who manage their money separately are more likely to lie to each other and fight about money. Overall, about one-third of women and one-quarter of men say they lie or hide information about money from their spouse.
