There’s a new trend on the rise when it comes to having babies.

Do not try this at home! 

More women are having babies the old-fashioned way – at home. While the overwhelming majority of women still go out of their way to get to a hospital, home births are gradually rising in popularity. While it may seem more affordable and more natural, many experts are warning against home births. Should something go wrong, the mother and child are at much higher risk outside of a hospital setting. 

Obstetrician Andre Hall says women who would like to have their baby in a less clinical environment should consider a birthing center. The have the appropriate safety protocols in place and will be much better equipped to handle any unforeseen complications.
