• A written job description for your first 12 to 24 months on the job. Make sure to keep it handy for your performance review.
• A written job offer outlining salary, benefits and negotiations.
• A business model. Every company should have one and you should be aware of it, especially if it’s a startup company.
If you’re not comfortable asking for much before you’ve accepted the job - you’re doing yourself a disservice. A reputable company and good hiring manager won’t mind if you ask for these basics and will know they’re hiring someone thorough and responsible.
