A bath can be a big deal for some dogs. Don’t beg. Nancy Rector, of Dogma Dog Care, says begging and pleading for your dog to stay still just excites them more. Instead of talking them through it, she says we should use simple commands and the power of silence and touch to make the bath go a bit easier and faster.
Wash your dog from front to back. That prevents fleas and ticks from moving to the face during the bath. If your dog doesn’t like getting his head wet – try using a spray bottle from the neck up instead.
