When you vacuum – how many passes do you give one spot?
The next time you vacuum – it could take 12 passes to get that rug clean. That’s how many it took Consumer Reports vacuum testers to take up cat hair in a deep pile carpet. That might be an extreme example – but experts say most vacuum cleaners will not do the job in one sweep – it will likely take several passes on each section to get up any embedded matter from the average carpet.
