It can happen to anyone. A racing mind at bedtime leaves you tossing and turning – and awake...
Leo Babauta, author of “Zen to Done,” has a simple trick that can be very effective at redirecting and quieting those scrambled thoughts – replay the day. Close your eyes and get comfortable, then think of the first thing you did that morning, the very first thing, like turning off your alarm. Then think of the next thing, and so on, replaying your morning in as much detail as possible. Leo says you probably won’t get much farther than mid-morning in your mind before you’re doing it for real – tomorrow morning.
