If you’ll be uncorking some bubbly for Valentine’s Day, think pink...

Champagne bubbles can add romantic effervescence to Valentine’s Day – but it’s not your only option...

Consumer Reports has some other great bubbly picks:

Sparkling rosé has come a long way in popularity. It’s similar to Champagne and Prosecco but with subtle red-berry and soft spice flavors. Two options are De Bortoli Emeri Pink Moscato and Korbel Brut Rosé. Both sell for about $12 a bottle and get good reviews.

Regardless of whether you want to try trendy pink bubbles or prefer traditional champagne for Valentine’s Day, you’ll want to serve it in a narrow flute, not a standard wine glass. You want the least possible amount of surface area to preserve the bubbling sensation. Romantic foods that pair well with Champagne or sparkling wine are fruit, chocolate, caviar and oysters.
