If you’d like to make your Facebook page invincible while you’re not logged on – here's one option...
If you can’t find your friend or your kid on Facebook – they might be back later. There’s a new logoff trend among younger Facebook users called the SUPER logoff. If you’re concerned about who might be looking at, or posting inappropriate stuff on your wall while you’re not there, the super logoff helps you stay in control. When you’re ready to logout – open “Account Settings” – and click “Deactivate Account” – then just reactivate the account the next time you log on and everything will be just as you left it.
So what’s the point? According to Microsoft researcher and social media expert Danah Boyd, it gives social networkers the ultimate control over what ends up on their page - without having to change privacy settings back and forth. And NOBODY can tag bad pictures of you while you’re not looking.
