If you’re a dissatisfied customer – it can be worth your while to write a letter of complaint...
If you’ve had a bad experience with customer service – let them know about it. Writing a letter of complaint can be a powerful strategy for getting what you deserve. Consider these tips:
• Take some time to cool down. A calm articulate letter will be taken much more seriously than an angry rant.
• Use a company letterhead if you can.
• Take the time to research who you should be writing to. Don’t assume it will get to the right person. Avoid using “To whom it may concern.”
• Maintain respect and give the person at fault or the company an opportunity to rectify things and keep your business.
• Don’t be afraid to suggest solutions – be specific and include copies of receipts if you’d like a refund or exchange.
Make sure to include all your contact information and keep a copy of the letter for your own records.
