There is a big difference between winter and summer colds. Which are worse...

Do you STILL have that summer cold?

Symptoms and severity of colds change with the seasons, and summer colds can really go the distance. The colds we get in the summer are caused by different viruses than the winter variety. Because we tend to be more active and spend time in air conditioning - summer colds can last for weeks, or reoccur. Winter colds, by contrast, tend to hit harder with flu-like symptoms but is typically gone in a few days.

Summer colds aren’t as common as the winter variety and hit between June and October. Because they tend to linger, many people often assume that summer cold is allergies, which can be a problem because they don’t take the necessary precaution to prevent giving their “allergies” to others.
