Bach for birds, metal for monkeys. Wild music...

You can tune a piano but you can’t tune a fish - or can you?

It turns out that fish do have some favorite tunes. Scientists tried out some different composers on them and they seemed to prefer Stravinsky.  Birds, on the other hand, like Bach. They used Java sparrows for the test and they had a much better reaction to classical than to modern music samples. As for monkeys, they liked metal. Cotton-top tamarins seemed to calm down for some reason whenever music by Metallica was played.
