Could owning a cat increase the risk of suicide? The disturbing results of a new study...

If you've got a cat – be EXTRA careful with that litter box...

A study of more than 45,000 women in Denmark suggests that those infected with a parasite that's carried by cat poop were at higher risk of trying to kill themselves.

The author of the study points out that they cannot say for sure that the litter was to blame for the increased suicide attempts – but believes the data warrants additional studies. The cat poop parasite, called T.gondii, has already been associated with schizophrenia and changes in behavior.
