Lose the shoes baby! They're no good for new walkers...

According to some experts – babies should be barefoot!

I’ll tell you why, in a moment…Payoff:Those sturdy shoes that babies learn to walk in might just be better suited for bronzing than walking. According to podiatrist Tracy Byrne, wearing shoes at too young an age could hamper a child’s walking and cerebral development. Dr. Byrne says toddlers keep their heads up more when they are walking barefoot, and putting shoes on new walkers could actually make that toddler more wobbly.

Our feet actually transmit signals from the ground that tell us how to proceed. Once we cover our soles up – that feedback is blocked and we put ourselves at a disadvantage. Barefoot babies are more likely to develop stronger muscles and ligaments in the foot, a keener sense of their surroundings and better posture.
