Eat This

We’re all supposed to be watching our portion sizes to keep our weight in check.

For those of us who don’t have charts and scales handy – some everyday objects can really help us behave. A medium size fruit should be about the same size as a baseball. That roll or reasonable serving of starchy food should be no bigger than a tennis ball. If that giant baked potato looks good – skip it and pick one about the size of your computer mouse. One serving of sandwich meat should be akin to a CD or DVD and if you’re dealing with meat or fish – a deck of standard playing cards will do the trick.
