Hide the kids! Songebob is on!

Are you ready kids?

Run for your lives! The Journal Pediatrics published a study that says SpongeBob SquarePants is bad for our kids. He may be yellow and porous - but his nautical nonsense could be taking a toll on tiny attention spans everywhere. In the study, researchers split kids up into three groups. One drawing pictures for 9 minutes, one watching 9 minutes of Caillou (ki-you) and the other group watching 9 minutes of SpngeBob. The SpongeBob group may have been happy and entertained – but they also flunked the stay-on-task test that followed.

It’s important to note that these were groups of 4 year olds. SpongeBob is produced for 6 to 11 year olds. Experts say SpongeBob is so fast-moving that it’s just too much for preschoolers to take in.
