Store brand toilet paper is much less expensive - but it’s just not as strong or soft as the premium brands.

That’s all about to change. Consumer Reports says Walmart and some other major retailers are preparing to roll out their new line of TP that will be stronger, softer and more affordable. 

We have some new toilet paper technology to thank for the improvement. It’s called TAD, or through-air drying, in which higher velocity dryers are used in production, resulting in a softer, stronger, more absorbent end product. They expect to be rolling out the new toilet paper onto shelves over the next few months.
