Most of us would probably do a better job if we took more breaks...
If you’ve been working on those bills or that presentation or spring cleaning for more than a half hour – take a break! Experts say after 20 to 30 minutes of sustained concentration – our minds will take a break whether we know it or not. The trick is to be in control of the break. By removing ourselves from the task – we’ll be more focused when we return. If we don’t – there’s a good chance we’ll make mistakes or get sidetracked from what we should be doing.
Your break can be as short as a minute or two. A good stretch or quick snack can help get you back on track.
