How would you like to play the lead role in a movie?

According to the Harvard Business Review, it’s a technique that can be quite effective for achieving goals, increasing productivity and reducing stress. 

Using mental imagery to set the scene, viewing your own behavior from different perspectives or would-be camera angles, can be a powerful way to enhance confidence and anticipate obstacles or success.
