Short and fat could be trouble. According to Brian Wansink, author of “Mindless Eating,” we pour an 25 to 30 percent more beverage into short, wide glasses. He says we tend to think we’ve met our drink quota a lot sooner when that visual level is higher. If you’re serving alcohol or sugary drinks – go with the taller, thinner glasses and save those wide ones for water.
