We all worry once in a while – but too much worry can be paralyzing. Here is a list of some top worries and why we should STOP worrying about them:
• Weight loss. Instead of worrying about how much weight you need to lose in the future, focus on making some healthy choices today. Worrying about what you might go without tomorrow will not make you any thinner today.
• Cheating. Worrying that a spouse or partner may be cheating is counter-productive. If it’s a realistic concern, stop worrying and address immediately. If it’s just a fear, remind yourself that it’s a natural awareness of being in a relationship.
• Cancer. It’s natural to worry about that – especially if it runs in your family. Remember that the odds are still in your favor if you reduce your risk factors by making healthy choices and get regular checkups.
• Terrorism. Although the threat is a reality now – we need to remember that it is minuscule compared to the risks we take every day.
