Feeling Drained?

Feeling tired all the time? You might need more than just sleep...
If you're feeling tired all the time, it could be a red flag for depression. But there are some simple lifestyle changes that could make a big difference:

Check your breathing. Shallow breathing can really deprive us of what we need. Anxiety, fear and bad posture can contribute to lack of oxygen. Practice some deep breathing for about 5 minutes several times throughout the day.

Electronic overload. The deluge of information we absorb via computer can be a huge energy drain. If you can go a day or two without, you might notice a difference and decide to cut back.

Emotional drain. Grief, anger, anxiety, can all trigger fatigue. Some doctors are too quick to prescribe an antidepressant. It's a good idea to keep a journal or talk to a friend or counselor first.

If you're fatigue doesn't change, or if it's extreme and accompanied by pain or disorientation, see your doctor immediately.
