Are you raising a brainiac?
You could be if you feed them right. What kids eat while their brains are growing can have a big impact on it’s development. Here some items on the brainpower menu:
* Eggs: They’ve got high-nutrient protein that helps concentration.
* Greek Yogurt: It’s a healthy balance of protein and fat to keep cell membranes flexible.
* Greens: Spinach and kale contain sulforaphane which helps new brain cells grow.
* Purple Cauliflower: Low in sugar, high in fiber and full of folate and B6 that help regulate mood, memory, and attention.
* Fish: Salmon, tuna, and sardines are all rich in omega-3 which is great for brain function.
* Oatmeal: In one study, kids who ate oatmeal did better on memory-related academic tasks than those who ate a sugary cereal.
