When is the last time you washed your purse?
Most women don’t - and it’s crawling with germs. Tests conducted by a hygiene solutions company found that leather handbags are the worst offenders. Their porous texture provides the perfect growing conditions for bacteria. The handles on your purse are probably the dirtiest feature. There’s enough bacteria on there to cause a real health risk. The bottom of the bag is pretty bad too. It sits on all kinds of unsanitary surfaces and then often ends up resting on your desk or kitchen counter.
If you’ve got hand cream inside your purse, that’s filthy too. Tests on items inside found that hand cream containers were smeared with more bacteria than a toilet seat.
