A lot of people are starting the new year - solo.
More relationships hit the skids in January than any other month. According to a recent study, about one fifth of couples call it quits this month. Most couples admit that breaking up during the holidays is just too hard and that “out with the old and in with the new” is a common theme at the start of a year.
So why are they breaking up? Couples in the study blamed financial stress, seasonal depression and the desire for a fresh start for ruining their relationships. If you’re still together, play nice. The next peak breakup season starts right after Valentine’s Day.
