The flu shots are in at many pharmacies and clinics - and experts recommend getting yours early.
Although the flu season doesn’t officially start until October, your vaccine is good for six to nine months. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state Department of Health both are urging people to get a flu shot as soon as it's available.
Pharmacies are now giving the shot, as are local physician offices. Hospitals will start to vaccinate employees next month, and state health departments are also starting to roll out their clinics. Some vaccines will be in limited supply this season, including a high dose for elderly patients and egg-free vaccines for those with allergies.
