Red wine, olive oil and dark chocolate are all good for us, within reason. How much is too much...


It’s true that glass of red wine and chunk of dark chocolate are good for you – just don’t get carried away...

Here is a list of good stuff that turns bad if we’re not careful:

• Nuts: Stick to almonds, walnuts and pistachios and don’t eat more than you can fit in your hand.

• Red wine: 4 ounces daily is the recommended dose for the average woman. That’s just half a glass.

• Avocado: It’s true that it’s good fat – but stick to a few slices or tablespoons.

• Olive oil: It’s the best choice of oil but it’s also 100 calories per tablespoon. Dip and drizzle accordingly.

• Dark Chocolate: Great choice – but you don’t need more than six grams, that’s one square.
