Do you know what the cold line in the grocery store is?

The next time you buy a carton of eggs, choose one from BELOW the cold line...

The cold line is painted on the wall of the dairy section cooler. It’s there to guide the retailers as to where to stop stocking. Anything above the cold line is not being properly cooled.

When buying eggs, most shoppers grab a carton from the top, open it and look for cracks. All too often, that top layer of cartons is above the cold line and the eggs inside have been sweating, which encourages the growth of bacteria.
