If the carnival is coming to town – be sure to play those games on the first day if you really want to win... 

According to Matthew Gryczan, author of “Carnival Secrets,” the games are a lot less challenging the first day and your odds of winning are much higher. That’s because they want you to be seen walking around the fairgrounds with that giant stuffed dog or goldfish in a bag. It encourages other people to play.

Matthew says another good way to increase your prize odds is to play group games, such as the water pistol challenge. With those games, there’s always a winner.

One more tip: Ask the boss for a demonstration. Pay close attention to how he or she does it. If they can’t complete the challenge, walk away – it’s too hard.
