You may have heard that Walt Disney was frozen after his death, in hopes of returning someday. The real story...

Contrary to popular belief, Walt Disney was not cryogenically frozen following his death.

While Disney on ice made for great storytelling, the truth is that Walt Disney was cremated after his death. Actually, the first-ever cryogenic freezing took place about a month after Disney’s death. That was Dr. James Bedford, a psych professor at the University of California.

The most famous frozen soul is baseball player Ted Williams. His son, John-Henry honored his father’s wishes in the form of a father-son pact signed on a cocktail napkin. True to his word, John-Henry was frozen after his death in 2004 and joined his Dad at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona.
