While you’re waiting for experts to agree on the use of table salt – use some pepper instead...  

Black pepper does a great job of enhancing the taste of our food – and it’s REALLY good for us. A recent study from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center says frequent use of black pepper may help prevent neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis.

The berries or peppercorns that black pepper is made from have antioxidant and anti-carcinogenic properties. Freshly ground, organic pepper will give you the most flavor and nutrients – but plain old shaker pepper is worth sprinkling on too.
