There’s a link between lack of sleep and overeating...
A new study found that people who were deprived of sleep not only ate more the next day – but actually had the desire to eat food they don’t even like. Some of the sleep deprived participants also reported still not feeling full or satisfied after eating.
The researchers explain that’s because sleep has a big impact on the part of the brain that governs behavior and choices. Lack of sleep interferes with reasoning and stimulates the appetite - leaving us more vulnerable to some weird edible impulses.
