K9 Stress

If you’re stressed out – so is your dog!

Dogs are especially sensitive to our moods and a recent study found a direct link with stress levels between dogs and their owners. When people are stressed – they tend to have less interaction and eye contact with their dog and it can really upset them. Dogs rely a lot on your tone of voice and body language. If you’re sending out negative vibes – chances are your dog will react. Here are some signs your dog is stressed out:

• Excessive barking, yawning or digging.
• Head, ears or tail held low.
• Disinterest in food.
• Restlessness or hiding.

If you’re feeling stressed out – do yourself and your dog a favor – take a few minutes to play or bond together, it will do wonders for both of your stress levels.

  1. That looks so similar to my pup! It's true... when I am happy, he is happy. When I am sad, he is sad. Such great companions though!
