If you’re tempted to shack up before tying the knot, it could have an impact on your marriage down the road.
A recent study of couples who had been married for ten years or less looked at living arrangements before the big day. 19% of those who lived together before marriage had contemplated divorce. Couples who cohabitated after they were engaged but before the wedding seemed happier for it. Just 12% of them were tempted to split. The happiest husbands and wives were those who waited to share their space until AFTER the wedding. Only 10% of those couples were doubting their happily ever after.
