If you’d like your salad greens to last longer – get them out of the plastic...

The next time you buy bags of leafy greens – get them out of the bag and into a bowl before storing them...

Restaurants store their salad greens in stainless steel bowls. If you buy a lot of salad, it’s a good investment. Greens will last up to 10 days when stored in stainless steel, without any browning or significant wilting. If you don’t have stainless steel salad storage – toss a stainless fork or spoon into that salad bag or clam box. That will be enough to lengthen the life of your greens for a few more days.
