Lite Salt may sound like a good idea if you’re watching your sodium intake - but it’s not for everyone.
While Lite Salt, a trademarked alternative, does have less sodium, it also has potassium chloride which can be a problem for someone with a blood pressure condition. Lite Salt is also high in potassium, not good if you’ve got kidney problems. Check with your doctor before making the switch to a salt substitute. You might also want to avoid using substitutes when cooking for others who may have health issues.
